Hi Carolyn! I loved the article — it was succinct, the photo (and its coloring) was lovely, and long enough to give information but short enough so that people didn’t lose interest. When I was young (besides entering art and writing contests) I won tickets to the drive-in movie “Tammy In Love” and persuaded my father to take us! (No small feat, but I had won the contest, so it was important!) What I’m saying is that I understand the thrill of winning contests when you’re ten to twenty years old, and I think more kids should be encouraged to do so (although I notice a lot of contests state that you have to be either 13 or 18 to enter, nowadays). — So, keep up the good work! You always have us smiling!
What a nice article — I can’t wait for Michele’s follow-up since she attended the meeting. All the Lucky Lilacs had a fun time, made some new friends and came away with a renewed energy to enter and win! Thanks, Carolyn!
