The Niagara Gazette wrote an article about me for their new regional magazine Common Sense. (I’ll post a link to the PDF as soon as I get it scanned.) Michelle, the journalist, also wanted a local angle so I setup a sweepstakers meeting. It was held yesterday on from 2-4pm at the Orange Cat Coffee Co. in Lewiston NY.
18 people RSVP’d and 10 made it to the meeting. We had 4 new sweepers, 4 Lucky Lilacs and 2 Canadians! What fun we had!
First we all patronized the Orange Cat. Upon a recommendation, I had their Chai Latte. YUMMY!
We began by introduced ourselves. Spoke a bit about what attracted us to the hobby, what we had won, etc. I then gave a brief overview of the hobby for the new sweepers. Finally we had prize draws. (It wouldn’t be a sweepstakes meeting without prizes!)
Michelle even attended as she is writing another sweepstakes article. This one will be about the meeting itself. (I will also post the link to the PDF once it is published.)
There is nothing more energizing than being with other like minded people. Find a local club in your area or start one today!
