Get Your FREE Copy of You Can’t Win If You Don’t Enter!

Posted on: April 22nd, 2012 by carolyn

NOTE: PayPal will not allow me charge $0.00 in my online store without giving the buyer an error.  The solution is to charge 1¢.  Therefore my book is no longer free.  It will only cost you a lucky penny!

Yesterday I posted my goal for this year was to publish the second edition of You Can’t Win If You Don’t Enter in November.  When I began writing the first edition in 2004, my intention was to write one book.  The more I researched, I decided I needed to write two editions as there are several differences between Canadian contesting and American sweepstaking.  (The main differences are: lingo, clubs and conventions along with tax laws.) When I published the Canadian Edition in 2006, I didn’t really understand the book selling industry and ordered far too many.  Currently, I have over 1500 copies in my garage.  I made the decision this week to let them go.  I am giving them away for FREE*!

*Pay only shipping and handling.

If you are American, or live in any other country, I recommend you also take advantage of my FREE offer as my core online entering system is the same in both previous editions.  I know my digital entering system is successful because I have won over $250,000 in prizes since 2001 and I have helped others win over $1,000,000 in prizes.  (The million dollars in prizes is all I have testimonials for.  The number should be ten times higher.)

NOTE: Due to high shipping costs from Canada, all American/International orders will be shipped on May 18th on my next trip to the U.S. via USPS.

Since you’ll already paying shipping and handling, why not get a lucky charm as everything else in my online store is 50% off!

Tell me why the word called “FREE” is so misleading? One dictionary refers it as “without COST or obligation”. But so many people are mislead by this little word called “FREE”. It simply so hard for people to say the truth nowadays. Why not tell people up front and be honest and say its not FREE but just say — pay shipping & handling.

Two points I want to address. 1) Originally I wanted to make the book FREE. However, after much finagling with my online store and PayPal, we had to make the book 1¢ or the checkout wouldn’t work. 2) FREE with an asterisk is a very common marketing tool and I chose to use it to grab your attention. It worked.

Do you feel you shouldn’t pay shipping and handling either. You are welcome to come by and pick one up for free without paying shipping and handling. I have chosen to charge $6.00 shipping and handling to cover my raw costs. Canada Post charges me $3.00 to mail a book within Canada and I pay just over $8.00 to mail one to the United States. Plus the cost of the envelopes, lables, toner, gas (driving to the post office), etc. needs to be covered. I have already lost out on the cost of the books. I can’t afford to lose any more.

Getting back at sweeping I started back in the 1970’s and stopped when postage was getting really high. I didn’t know there was so much sweeping online I’ve been sweeping for about 1 week and I still love doing them and I don’t have to pay a future in postage :)

  11. i live in the same area you do, could i instead pick up a copy at your garage ?
