There has been another round of Facebook SPAM. I thought I should address this issue so those of you that have been affected by it can stop it, or prevent it if you haven’t.
This past week I have been invited more times than I can count to get a free pair of Uggs. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Uggs in a company, in business, to make money. How long would they stay in business if they gave everyone on Facebook, all 500,000,000 people a free pair? Not long. Logic should prevail.
I won’t reiterate what others have written, so here are links to a few good blog posts and articles on how to spot a scam. how to remove it from your account and how to prevent it from happening in the future.
I have chosen no to shut off any privacy settings. I mainly use my personal Facebook account for entering contests and do not want to miss out on any golden opportunities. You have to decide for yourself what you are comfortable with.
