The contest community is a fairly vocal group and complaints about Today’s Draw have been rampant on Facebook, Twitter and online forums for well over a year. I also got my fair share of emails from concerned entrants on various problems they encountered with them.
I blogged about Today’s Draw in the past including my direct experience with them:
As a business owner and marketer I pride myself on being transparent and providing the best possible level of professionalism and customer service to all those I deal with. Therefore I expect others to do the same. Today’s Draw didn’t seem to meet anyone’s standards. Their poor business practices culminated in the company being brandished in the local news bringing awareness of their fraudulent practices to the general public.
This is where it is important to make contest friends so we can not only help each other win, but keep each other safe.
Companies in the United States spent over $3,000,000,000 running legitimate sweepstakes, contests and giveaways. (Canada can assume a 10% spend rate based on our population differential.) There are many promotions that are safe to enter, and win. Let’s not let one rotten apple spoil the bunch.
Stay safe. Have fun. And win!
