Get Your FREE Copy of You Can’t Win If You Don’t Enter!

Posted on: April 22nd, 2012 by carolyn

NOTE: PayPal will not allow me charge $0.00 in my online store without giving the buyer an error.  The solution is to charge 1¢.  Therefore my book is no longer free.  It will only cost you a lucky penny!

Yesterday I posted my goal for this year was to publish the second edition of You Can’t Win If You Don’t Enter in November.  When I began writing the first edition in 2004, my intention was to write one book.  The more I researched, I decided I needed to write two editions as there are several differences between Canadian contesting and American sweepstaking.  (The main differences are: lingo, clubs and conventions along with tax laws.) When I published the Canadian Edition in 2006, I didn’t really understand the book selling industry and ordered far too many.  Currently, I have over 1500 copies in my garage.  I made the decision this week to let them go.  I am giving them away for FREE*!

*Pay only shipping and handling.

If you are American, or live in any other country, I recommend you also take advantage of my FREE offer as my core online entering system is the same in both previous editions.  I know my digital entering system is successful because I have won over $250,000 in prizes since 2001 and I have helped others win over $1,000,000 in prizes.  (The million dollars in prizes is all I have testimonials for.  The number should be ten times higher.)

NOTE: Due to high shipping costs from Canada, all American/International orders will be shipped on May 18th on my next trip to the U.S. via USPS.

Since you’ll already paying shipping and handling, why not get a lucky charm as everything else in my online store is 50% off!

Do You Have a Great Sweeping Story or Contesting Adventure?

Posted on: April 21st, 2012 by carolyn

In my last post I announced I finally landed my dream job and became a Contest Manager (From Contest Queen to Contest Manager).  What I didn’t talk about was the job is only part-time.  I work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in XXX’s downtown Toronto office.  The other two days per week I am able to focus on being the Contest Queen.

One of my goals for 2012 is to write the Second Edition of You Can’t Win If You Don’t Enter and have it published in November.  I will be:

  • combining both the Canadian and American editions into one comprehensive winning guide,
  • sharing new sweeping and contesting tips, tricks, winning stories and adventures,
  • adding in an entire section on: How To Win on Social Media — including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest,
  • plus updating the chapter: The Other Side of Sweepstakes — interviews with Internet and Online Sweepstakes Agencies & Contest Marketing Companies.

My books have never been a solitary writing experience.  I have had the help of many wonderful people and I am now asking for your help.  What I am seeking are three things:

  1. new and interesting sweeping stories and contesting adventures,
  2. questions for the Presidents of online judging agencies and Internet contest management companies,
  3. anything else you would like to see in the book. What do you want to learn or understand better?  Do you have any questions for me?

Please email me directly to contribute to the next edition.

NOTE: Each person who contributes a story or adventure that is used in the second edition will get a free autographed copy once it is published.

Movie Night With The Queen??

Posted on: October 26th, 2010 by carolyn

Doesn’t anyone want to sit with the Queen??  LOL!

Seems my organization skills have been on the weak side when it comes to the execution of Movie Night with the Contest Queen.  It seems I didn’t follow through on my emails to the Toronto Monsters blog contest winners very well.  In the past, I arrived early with all the passes, got every one’s tickets, waited in front of the theatre and then we all sat together.  Then with A Shine of Rainbows, the group was so large we only managed to sit with a few winners.  This time all the winner’s names were on a list.  I only had the opportunity to meet Kevin from AMPR (@amprcanada) and then I didn’t sit with him either!  Thankfully I had brought one of my best friends, Janet (Miller of A Spirited Path).  I felt like Siskel & Ebert.

Even without all the merriment and giddiness of sitting with a bunch of other winners beside us, we had a great time.  We gave it two thumbs up!  Janet had the best quote after the movie, “That was great! Totally unpredictable.”  We agreed the story would not have been as well told had it been a big budget Hollywood film.

No spoilers here.  Just go see it!

How Cool Is That?!

Posted on: September 9th, 2010 by carolyn

A favourite sweepstakes activity of long time sweepers is making their own envelopes for mail-in sweepstakes entries.  If you like to participate in this aspect of the hobby, have I got a site for you.  Map Envelope has created a program allowing you to print out an envelope template with your Google Map location inside.  How cool is that?!

Better yet, use the location of where you wish to win a trip to.  Where do you want to go?
