I didn’t have to wait until August 29th to see the documentary Lucky. As it turns out, it was available on TMN On Demand. So tonight we watched it. I liked it. It showed the good, the bad and the ugly of the lottery. It focused mainly on big winners, but also a few that had never won. (Read more here: Lucky, a Look at the Lives of Lottery Winners, on HBO)
We got to the end and my friend Steve did not appear in the documentary at all, which is why I wanted to watch it in the first place. (See: Lucky) Not only that, his name was buried in the credits listed as someone who helped out. I assume he was consulted because of his book; How To Win Lotteries, Sweepstakes and Contests in the 21st Century. So how did his name, out of all the hundreds of people that worked on, and/or starred in the documentary, get selected to be featured in the movie listing? Hmmm.…..
Anyway, if you get a chance to watch it, do. I think you’ll like it too.
