How to Win a Rafflecopter Contest — Tweet Option

Posted on: March 17th, 2013 by carolyn

Lorena had a question regarding entering a Rafflecopter contest and the Twitter component.

Hi Carolyn,
I wonder if you could post instructions on your blog about how to enter a contest via twitter. I don’t understand the part about enter your URL address. I enter contests on rafflecopter and then it says to tweet, so I click & tweet, then I don’t know where to find the URL address. The little instruction about how to find the address doesn’t help me. It says to click on the date.  When you enter contests & it says to tweet & enter the URL address is it easy to do or is it a complicated step? Help! I’m new to twitter.
Thanks.rafflecopter logo

Today I thought I would try posting my first vlog to show you how to find that pesky URL.

To find the contest I entered easily, go to Sweeps4Bloggers Parental Guidance DVD/Blu-Ray Giveaway.  It’s open to Canada and the U.S. and ends on March 28th 2013.

Lorena,  let me know if this answers your question or I need to try again.

GOOD LUCK!

YQA — Instant Wins

Posted on: May 25th, 2011 by carolyn

Since I have stopped publishing The Winning EDGE, I have moved the Your Questions Answered (YQA) to this blog.

Hi Carolyn,
I have noticed that you have referred to “instant wins” a few  times and you mention that a number of your wins come from them.  I am not sure what you mean by instant wins. I have only seen a couple of contests that would be considered instant win contests.  Is there somewhere special that I should be looking at for these contest.  I usually go into ContestCanada.net (@ContestCan), ContestCanada.com, YoWinner (@YoWinner) and ContestLife.com (@ContestLife).
Thanks for your help.

Hi Debbie,
The fact you can win instantly will be very prominent  in the promotion and it will also be in the rules. (eg. Win a trip to London UK or one of 25 sets of luggage instantly!)  When you say you have only seen a couple of instant win contests, what promotions you referring to?
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,
Yes feel free to use the question.  A couple of the contests that I thought would be considered  instants wins was the Olive Garden (which just closed) and a Fox promotion.  Are these the sort of contests that you mean by instant wins?

Another question that I have while I have your attention. LOL!  What do you think of the sites like myPlingo, Mongo Bongo, and Classic Heartland, etc.  They all have a list of prizes that you can enter on a daily basis.  Are they worthwhile entering or just a waste of time.  Have you ever heard of anyone winning from sites like these?
Thanks again,
Debbie

Hi Debbie,
Yes, the Olive Garden & FOX promotions are considered instant win contests.  I seem to get the timing right and hit the “instants”.  That said, I didn’t win from the Olive Garden one, LOL!

I only enter sweepstakes on the Classic Heartland website and only when I have time.  Remember, it only takes one to win.  Spend your time on the prizes you really want to win first, then if you have time, enter all the others.  It takes just as much time to win a car as it does movie passes.
GOOD LUCK!
Carolyn
