It Only Gets Better From Here

Contesting, Sweepstaking No Comments »

The two very interesting things I read about this week related to contesting and sweepstaking are: some experts predict that companies with triple their spending on online promotions over the next five years. Last year U.S. companies spent 1.89 billion dollars on sweepstakes so in 2012 companies will spend 5.67 billion dollars. There are now, and will be, a lot of prizes to be won! (Read more here.) And, sweepstakes websites are the fifth fastest growing Internet property. (Read more here.) Just more places to find and enter sweepstakes! WOO HOO!

Why Blog?

General 2 Comments »

I have not posted anything in four days. I have nothing really to say so why am I blogging? I feel this blog is a conversation between myself and those who read it. I want to let you know what has been going on and why I have not been posting as frequently as I would like.

My original intention of creating a blog was to write everyday about something sweepstakes related. I don’t want to blog for the sake of blogging. Unless I have something I feel is of value to my readers, I don’t want to write.

Also, this past week, so much as been going on in my life, my house, my business, that I have not felt much like writing or had time to write.

The week started with the death of a friend, John “Fish” Fisher. I wrote something nice about him for my newsletter which comes out on Monday. (Full obituary).

Then I discovered an error with the file of my book. I had to stop the printing process, fix it and restart. I ended up adding a week to the whole process, so now I won’t be shipping any books until the third week of May.

On the upside, my daughter is turning six tomorrow so we are having a party with family and friends. The backyard BBQ we planned has been rained out so we’ll all be inside. Should be cozy and crazy.

I hope to be back on track soon…
