HOWDY!

WOO HOO! I am in Texas feeling very lucky. I am here for four days learning heaps from Helene Hadsell!!

(Helene is a bit shy <GRIN>)

If you are not familiar with Helene, she is the author of The Name It & Claim It Game and she won every contest she entered.  She is currently working on a very exciting project with a company in Malaysia.  She requires a few new testimonials.  If you have read her book and have won something using her techniques, please email me your story.  Helene would be most appreciative.

Thank you.

Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat, Where Have You Been?

“Pussycat, Pussycat, where have you been?”
“I’ve been up to London to visit the Queen.”
“Pussycat, Pussycat, what did you do there?”
“I frightened a little mouse under her chair.”

This morning I won a trip to London, England. WOO HOO!

If you listen to my radio show, you may remember my interview on August 4th with Helene Hadsell.  She told me, and my listeners, to focus our energy and only enter for what we really wanted.

After thinking about what she said, I then “put out there” that one of the big things I wanted to win was a romantic trip for two to London.  Craig and I honeymooned there and we had not had an extended trip alone since 2004 so it seemed like the perfect choice.  (Read full show review here.)  Well, Little Miss Impatient (me) gave up after a few weeks and changed it to a romantic trip, anywhere.

This morning when I looked at my email I discovered I was the grand prize winner of the Smart Set “Meet Duffy in London” Contest.  I sure feel like “The Queen” today.

Remember to be specific and patient.  You never know when your goals and dreams will be fulfilled.

Stay tuned, as in early December I will be blogging live from London!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Small Prizes

Contesting, Sweepstaking No Comments »

Last night we had a wonderful time at the theatre. I was lucky enough to win tickets to The 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee from YummyMummy.

One question I am frequently asked is, how do I win so much. One contesting secret is, not only do I enter all the national promotions; I also enter a lot of local promotions offering smaller prizes. There are less people in the eligibility area and some people just don’t want to win anything less than a large Grand Prize. Your odds of winning are much higher.

Since I started entering on a daily basis, most of my wins have been smaller prizes with a large national prize won several times per year. It’s the small wins that keep you going in between the biggies!

Winning for a Living

The documentary that was filmed last summer about the hobby of contesting and featured contestors from across Canada, will be airing on CBC Thursday March 6th at 9pm on the Doc Zone.

Bonnie, of the T.O. Wanna Winners, won the Name The Documentary contest at the convention. Her winning entry? In It To Win It! Sadly, the CBC chose not to use her entry, and instead called the documentary Winning for a Living. I feel their choice immediately gives off the wrong impression of what contestors are really like and why we enter. Thankfully, the project was lead by an award winning director, Nadine Pequeneza, so I believe the hobby, the people and the convention will only be shown in the best possible light.

So, mark your calendars, set your PVRs, and get set to see this hobby the way it’s never been seen before!

I like receiving my daily inspirational quote from JustSell. Yesterday I got something new. The email announced that they had launched a new website based entirely on the book The Luck Factor. (A book which, 1) I quote in my book and, 2) highly recommend as a good read. ) The website has great quotes, a downloadable e-book, The Complete Guide to Luck and even lucky wallpapers. ENJOY!
