TUNE IN!

What a lively conversation Sandra Grauschopf, of Contests.About.com, and I had on my last radio show. We talked about so many things. Here are all the direct links to some of the resources we discussed.

Sandra and I let the cat out of the bag on the air. Not only will I be at both the 19th Annual National Sweepstakes Convention in San Antonio, TX this August and the 2008 Northeast Mini Sweepstakes Convention in Hershey, PA this October, but Sandra will be attending and speaking in Hershey. There are only 69 spaces left for the mini-convention, so register ASAP if you wish to attend.

The wins tracking spreadsheet can be found at the bottom of the Getting Started webpage on my website.

If you missed the show, you can listen to it here.

Listen to my next show on Monday July 7th at 9:00pm ET when my guest will be Brian Makse, President of Upshift Marketing Group.

You can listen live online and to ask questions you just enter the show’s chat room. You can also dial-in, (646) 200-4857, to listen to the show and ask questions. If you want to ask a question but are not able to listen live, email it to me in advance and you can hear your question(s) answered in the archived show.

PRIZES!

On July 7th we have three prizes to give away. We have two CDs by Ron Moore who Sings in the Key of Elvis. Ron is one of the best Elvis cover singers I have ever heard. This is a must have prize for any Elvis fan.

Plus, I have an autographed hard cover copy of Alex and the Ironic Gentleman by Adrienne Kress. Alex makes a great gift for any tween or teen looking for something new to read this summer. Adrienne also has a blog called: The Temp, The Actress and The Writer chronicling her life’s adventures.

Are you interested in an inexpensive way to advertise your business? Please donate prizes (to be given away during my radio show) and I will promote your company in my e-newsletter and on my radio show. Please contact me directly.

Savvy Sweepers

Amy Kincade has created the most beautiful books for sweepers to get inspired and organized. She has designed a Sweepstakes Records and Wish Book, Sweepstakes Wins Organizer, Tax Organizer, and Newsletter Organizer. The Records/Wish Book and Tax Organizer come bound. The rest don’t as each person will use a different sized (usually 1” - 4”) binder based on their personal sweeping needs. Don’t let the use of the word sweepstakes fool you. They can be used for both contests and sweepstakes. Prices are in US dollars, but since the dollar is pretty much on par, Canadians feel free to order away at Savvy Sweepers. Personalization is available.

Contest Blogger

Contest Blogger has added two new sweepstakes forums: Cash Sweepstakes and Vacation Sweepstakes. Remember to check out their other forums: Art Contests, Baby Contests, Canadian Contests, Automobile Sweepstakes, Photo Contests, Recipe Contests, and Writing Contests.

Sweepstakes Today

I did receive several emails regarding my announcement of Sweepstakes Today adding a Canadian section. The complaint was that there were no promotions open only to Canadians. Mr. Sweepy had just launched that section of his website, so he added what promotions he had. Ones open to both Americans and Canadians. If you have a great promotion and you think he should add it to the site, please email him directly with the contest link.

You're a Winner

Amiee of Baldwinville NY was a big winner this month!

Today has been the most amazing day for me. I woke up and put a dab of I AM LUCKY Oil behind one ear, a dab of Allow In More Wins Oil behind the other an finally a dab of Balancing Oil on my heart chakra and went about my business.

Within 10 minutes of doing this I received email that I won one of the Edy’s Slow Churned Ice Cream Kits (party for 100). I immediately called the local nursing home and made arrangements to donate the win.

Within minutes of getting off the phone I received a phone call telling me that I won a $2000 Gift Card to Lord & Taylor.

WOO HOO!  Congrats on your fantastic wins!

(The reason the essential oils work is they help put you in the vibrational frequency (aka The Secret—of what you want to attract into your life.)

Tips and Tricks

One tip Sandra and I shared during the radio show was that each of us had a lucky charm on our computer. Mine is a piece of green aventurine along with a little steel stone with the word LUCK engraved on it. Sandra’s is a little ladybug sitting on a four leaf clover that fell into her monitor stand, never to be seen again, but none-the-less, constantly imparting its grand prize mojo.

Whether or not lucky charms work, they are fun and I believe that is the whole purpose of contesting, to have more fun. So pull out your lucky pennies, troll dolls and charms and HAVE FUN!

HI Carolyn,
First of all more power to you and to you family. I started to be a contestor two years ago, but I did not keep it up, so I am still a newbie to contesting. I have read your book and it inspired me a lot. My question is how much percentage of that 200 per day (I read in your book that you average around 200 entries per day, but I can't remember the exact numbers.) is re-entry for those daily contest and how much percentage is new (either daily or weekly or monthly).
I am still adjusting the system that I learned for your book.
Thank you for taking time to read my email.
Sincerely,
Mike
Mississauga, ON

Hi Mike,
I am able to enter so many contests per day because I use both RoboForm and RoboForm Companion (two separate software packages). You must have RoboForm, and be comfortable using it, before you add in RoboForm Companion.

I save all my entry forms (even Flash based contest links) in RoboForm. 200 entries per day is the average. Sometimes it’s higher and sometimes it’s lower. Right now it is higher. So every day I manually enter about 150 forms, not contests, because I may enter more than one person into each contest (such as myself, my husband and daughter).

I then use RoboForm Companion to enter another 170 entry forms. On Mondays I do my weeklies and twice per month (1st & 15th) I do my one time only entry contests. I spend close to two hours per day entering online.

RoboForm is well worth the onetime fee of $30. RoboForm Companion is free.
GOOD LUCK!
Carolyn
