I don’t remember when I first heard about Helene Hadsell, but I think if you spend any time in the contest community, eventually you learn about this amazing woman.
Helene Hadsell was THE Contest Queen. She won every contest she ever entered. She documented her winning techniques in Contesting: The Name It & Claim It Game.
I was lucky enough to not only interview her but spend four days with her in her home in Alverado TX. Sadly, I was not a great interviewer at the time, but I believe her information is valuable enough for you to put up with my terrible techniques to glean her golden nuggets of wisdom. Thankfully, I was aware enough to know what a gift I was given by spending time with her in person a few years before she passed.
When I was there she gave me permission to run her WINuvers for WISHcraft workshops and now I am working on getting her book re-published as it’s been out of print for almost a decade. (Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter so you do not miss a single update!)
In this video, I discuss the SPEC winning technique Helene created, the difference between DESIRE and KNOWING, a bit of her history and how she came to create SPEC.
This chat was originally recorded as a Facebook Live on Monday, October 28th, 2019.

Have you ever used SPEC?
I purchased Helene’s book and CD’s, plus had her do my Chart shortly before her death. I found the information very useful and it turned me onto “The Secret”, which I had already been aware of and using in my life only it was under a different name. I’ve used the method of the Secret since as well as my WishBoards. Have to dig up the material and re-read or listen to them time to time as I get off track with running a busy life.
Yes, I use “Spec” a lot. I’ve won so many nice things over the years, many of which I’d never have gone to or been able to afford if I had to pay for it myself.
Stay positive and the doors will open to you
