Usually, I blog each day of the Annual National Sweepstakes Convention and share my adventures hanging out with 300-1000 fellow sweepers. However, this year, it was in Las Vegas (can you say ‘non-stop fun’), and then after returning home on a red-eye, I unpacked, repacked, and left the next morning to attend The Silva Method in Connecticut. I didn’t have time to write until I returned a week later. After catching up on work, I attended The Silva Method again in Toronto. The month of August flew by.
I knew I wouldn’t have the time, energy, or memory to blog my regular 4-day recap of all the fun, excitement, and adventures I had with all my sweepstakes friends. Instead, as I created a dozen videos recapping the convention shenanigans (watch below), it made more sense to share those instead of struggling to write multiple posts.
The long and the short of it is the friends I have made since I attended my first convention in 2005 have changed my life in countless ways, for the better. They have been there through thick and thin. Yes, we want to win stuff, but the prize I didn’t expect to win was my friends—a community like no other. I highly recommend you attend an annual event if it’s in your budget.
