NH Sweepstakes Getaway @ Colby-Sawyer College, Lethbridge Lodge
Usually when I start a blog post about an annual event, I like to link back to last year’s post. For some reason I did not blog about the 2014 NH Sweepstakes Getaway. I only created a photo album.
I would label the NH Sweepstakes Getaway a ‘micro convention’, not because it’s shorter than a mini (it is) but because only 30 people attend. It’s hosted at Colby-Sawyer College in New London NH and your registration fee includes your stay and meals. It’s a fantastic value.
I drive as it’s ‘close’ (an eight hour drive). This year I didn’t rush. I got what I had to do at home done, got on the road, and arrived at 7:30pm on Friday evening. I missed dinner, but thankfully there was heaps leftover, so I had a big plate of TexMex. There was even one margarita left over! Luckily I had not missed the Q&A or the comradery.
The priceless part of te hobby is hanging out with sweepers and colleagues.

I woke up early on on Saturday and got on my yoga mat. We all meet down at Lethbridge Lodge for a hearty breakfast.
Then the fun began. We started with social sweeps; Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Then the prizes began!!
After lunch there was a big Top Secret surprise (in a clear plastic bag!!).

It was the NH version of the Amazing Race. We all teamed up and for two hours we drove around the region seeing the sights, completing tasks and generally having fun.

After we got back and socialized a bit we had dinner. Followed by, what else? PRIZES! Then BINGO!!
We slept in on Sunday morning, followed by another hearty breakfast and then we all went our own way.
What a fantastic weekend!
