One thing that always surprises me is how many people questioned paying for a RoboForm subscription or memberships to sites like iWinContests or SweepSheet.
It makes me wonder—why wouldn’t you invest in your hobby, especially when the potential payoff is so great?
No one questions spending money on other hobbies. Michael’s wouldn’t exist if people didn’t buy paint, brushes, beads, and glue. Every year, millions are spent on creative supplies so people can enjoy painting, scrapbooking, and crafting.
Yet when it comes to sweepstakes, many hesitate. They’ll spend five dollars at Starbucks without a second thought, but hesitate to invest ten dollars a year or five dollars a month on tools that could help them win thousands in prizes.
RoboForm has ongoing costs for software development, updates, and support. Contest aggregate sites also have expenses—hosting, maintenance, and adapting to constant technology changes. Even my own website requires regular investment to stay online and up to date.
For some reason, because entering contests is free, people assume everything connected to it should be free too. But that thinking doesn’t add up.
Consider how much time you spend entering and how often you win. If a small investment could help you enter faster or win more, wouldn’t that be worth it?
Even when I spend only ten minutes a day, I still earn enough each month to justify investing fifteen dollars in my hobby.
So ask yourself: how much is your hobby worth to you?
